Commitment to Creating Flexible Work Conditions
The industry location Germany and the industries and business sectors represented by our association are exposed to constant change. Globalization leads to steeper, constant and global location competition with short product cycles and high demands on employee training. This competition does not yield to social security systems (compulsory health care and pension plans, etc.). Radical change in production structures and the population’s age distribution are causes of rapid change within the workforce.
Well-balanced reforms within the social security systems are required to support and facilitate this kind of change. A continuous effort is necessary in order to improve the ability of the chemical industry and related industries in the State of Hesse to compete on an international level. Viewed against this background, flexible labor conditions and company flexibility, company innovativeness and ability to react as well as productivity are key factors. Labor conditions that promote efficiency and social security systems based on future-oriented tariff and social policies are the basis for the success of the chemical industry and the economic sectors our association represents in the State of Hesse.
